Making it to Olympics is the one of the most prestigious status an individual can give to their country. As we are all aware, the Olympics is not a cakewalk! It demands a lot of sweat to reach it. For a woman, then it is sweats of blood.
As an Indian, even dreaming of Olympics would be a hard thing, What if I tell you a girl has overcome all her struggles and pushed those dreams into reality?
Yes!! Her name is C A Bhavani Devi. Miss Bhavani is from south India and has spent her life devoting herself to fencing. As a result, she is the first-ever Indian fencer to boom into Olympics 2020. As per the quote,
"Rome was not built one day"
She has filled her journey with loads of achievements
To name a few,
Gold medalist at a satellite world cup.
Gold medalist at commonwealth championship 2018.
Winners of more than 8 individual national titles.
In recent times, she also has shown interest in educating youngsters. On March 25 Chennai, she interacted with students from 75 different schools. This event was organized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports and the Ministry of Education.
At that event, she shared her routine and her diet, she also added lots of motivational talks.
Olympic fencer Miss. Bhavani Devi said
“Every competition is tough, you have to perform and work hard. Failures and success are a part of sports. One must set short term and long-term goals and strive hard to achieve them”
After this event, many youths were inspired by Bhavani Devi.
